Atlas Marine, a dynamic subsidiary of Cargomatic, specializes in the marine and logistics industry. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist / Administrative Assistant to join our Savannah team. This role supports payroll processing, administrative functions, and ensures accurate and timely execution of tasks critical to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain accurate payroll records for employees in compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Manage timekeeping systems, ensuring all hours worked are accurately recorded and approved.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing timely and clear communication.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with state and federal payroll regulations.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including maintaining records, scheduling, and managing correspondence.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support HR and finance teams with payroll reporting and audits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and/or administrative support roles.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and software; proficiency in Trinium is highly desirable (required for $24/hour rate).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Compensation Details:

  • The base rate for this position is $22/hour.
  • Candidates with demonstrated proficiency in Trinium are eligible for $24/hour.
  • Compensation is non-negotiable.

The expected compensation range for this role is $22/hour. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
