Senior Collections Specialist 

As a Sr. Collections Specialist you will support Cargomatic customers to identify and resolve billing issues, reconcile accounts and drive monthly collection targets.

A successful individual will be self-motivated—someone who can recognize how processes can improve and effectively implement positive changes. The candidate must also be able to build strong cross-functional relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. You will earn trust with our customers to facilitate timely payment.

Primary responsibilities Include:

  • Manage a high-volume portfolio of Enterprise Customer’s and work to maximize Cargomatic’s cash flow by solving customer payment issues
  • Full cycle of accounts receivable past due balances, including research, analysis and account reconciliations
  • Calling customers and scheduling resolution sessions to understand the procure-to-pay cycles of our customers
  • Managing and resolving invoice discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate receivables
  • Managing internal and external Accounts Receivable inquiries
  • Maintain customer relationships by responding timely and accurately to both internal and external questions and requests for information
  • Learn the pain points of customers and solve our customer’s problems
  • Educate yourself on customers self-service tools and implement best practices to streamline their payments.
  • Develop and maintain SOP’s on how to best manage each customer with websites, directions, examples
  • Escalating when appropriate to direct manager and/or senior leaders
  • Keeping detailed notes, task creation and reminders
  • Providing detailed updates to internal leadership teams on the customer account status and path to resolving outstanding issues

What You’ll Need:  

  • Freight/Transportation industry preferred 
  • Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excel experience – vlookup and pivot tables
  • Ability to multi task and stay calm under pressure in a fast pace environment.

The expected compensation range for this role is $50,000 to $70,000 annual based on an hourly rate. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
